About the Exhibition
As part of its tenth-anniversary celebration, the Public Art Fund sponsored a series of window art displays at Saks Fifth Avenue. Gina Wendkos, Thalia Doukas, and Claudia Fitch were each commissioned to create works for one-week installations and were encouraged to consider both artistic and merchandising issues. Claudia Fitch’s work was not realized because of mixed public reactions to the entire project.
