About the Exhibition
Franco “the Great” Gaskin (b. 1928, Panama) is a multimedia artist who has been dubbed Harlem’s Picasso. In this work he depicts New York City scenes, historical monuments, and modes of transportation. Gaskins learned to perform magic tricks and taught himself to draw, and became proficient at both.
