Dan Witz (b. 1957, Chicago, IL) has painted an image of a bird against streaks of paint in the background—invoking the bird’s motion—on plywood in the pool area at McArthur Playground. Witz’s wall painting is among those featured at the Park and Recreation Department’s 1984 Mini Pool Olympics held on August 28, 1984.
