Artworks by Layqa Nuna Yawar and Karyn Olivier pay homage to the vitality, history, architecture, people, and character of New Jersey, helping to transform Terminal A into a truly civic space.
Both artworks are accessible before security. Layqa Nuna Yawar’s mural can only be viewed on the Arrivals level. Karyn Olivier’s installation can be viewed on both Arrivals and Departure levels.
There are several accessible entrances along Furman St and Water St. Enter Empire Fulton Ferry lawn via New Dock St and Water St, as well as Dock St and Water St.
Public Transportation
Newark International Airport Terminal A can be accessed via train and transit/express bus. AirTrain Newark system connects NJ TRANSIT and Amtrak with the airport. Learn more.

Sensory Room on Level 3, open 6am–10pm. The terminal can get crowded and noisy during peak hours. There are incremental loud intercom announcements.
