George Rickey Double L Excentric Gyratory II

Doris C. Freedman Plaza
June 25, 1981 - July 6, 1982

About the Exhibition

George Rickey’s sculpture, Double L Excentric Gyratory II, consists of two stainless-steel L-shaped forms that pivot atop a steel column. The piece was selected by the artist to compliment the site through its continuous movement. Rickey (1907–2002, b. South Bend, IN) referred to the sculpture as an expression of his 25-year interest in movement as a medium in sculpture.
