About the Exhibition

George Rickey’s sculpture, entitled Double L Excentric Gyratory II, consists of two stainless-steel L-shaped forms that pivot atop a steel column. The piece was selected by the artist to compliment the site through its continuous movement. Rickey (1907-2002, b. South Bend, IN) referred to the sculpture as an expression of his 25-year interest in movement as a medium in sculpture.
